Drawing Challenge: Tiny

A tiny and delicate dragonfly...

...all red, black, and shimmeringly transparent...

...is delightfully beautiful from a distance,...

... but when enlarged, can seem....

... a bit creepy.

While something we might normally think of as creepy, such as spiderwebs, look like tiny strands of the finest silk...

...covered with minuscule pearl-like droplets.

  4. The delicacy of the web and all its' strands flying off in different directions it looks like, and the parts of the dragonfly that are also delicate and have parts flying off in different directions are a really good yin/yang experience for me. What great photos and what a great post Sharmon! *smiles* Norma

  9. ... or, in other words, how one thing can suggest another... great food for thought.

i've uncovered secrets for you in my blogpost, i'm happy to have been able to do that. and i've been musing upon your suggestion tiny things are 'easy' to manipulate. i think you are so right! i believe the fascination starts there... n♥

  10. Thanks, Nadine; glad you enjoyed the 'thought food"! :)

I think manipulating tiny things is like playing when we were children - maybe that's why it fascinates us so much...
