Drawing Challenge: TIME

Again
collage on board, 7 x 5.5 inches

I made this little collage for Eric Adama's drawing challenge; the theme was "time".  So much fun to play along - I'm really enjoying this! Please visit Eric's wonderful blog to see how other artists interpreted the theme.

The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.

  1. I like that you included the elephants as they do move slow and so does that also mean time moves slow as well? or fast if we're the elephants and we're being chased. fun collage.

hope you have a wonderful day.

    1. Thanks so much, Lissa! I included the elephants because they were split-second time interval photos, showing the movement as the elephant walked. Glad you enjoyed it!

  2. Hi Sharmon, that's a marvellous little collage and I love it. I especially love the idea that elephants never forget, (I read altogether too much Agatha Christie...lol), and in that is a huge time factor too. So I'm seeing all the lovely, complex symbolism in your piece. Well done! Big hugs for a wonderful New Year my friend. X

    1. The elephants, the time-interval photos, the watch... I really hit the theme hard, here, didn't I? :) The man is actually a police officer from an old book - "doing time" might be the connotation, I guess! I really had a lot of fun with this one, Eric - thanks so much for inviting me!

  4. Hi. I like the man sitting in his chair, knowing I will be late if I hurry so much. Thank you. Lucia

  5. Love the elephants, though they look to me like they are striding out on a mission! I also love the final quote. I might have to write it BIG somewhere!
