My piece for the drawing challenge has more to with the 'break' part than 'Spring'. I've been thinking lately of travel and exploring unique and far away places where I've never been (which covers just about everywhere).

collage, 5 x 5 inches

your words remembered me of a little game we used to play in our childhood, pointing at a globe, eyes closed and than look where we would go,just and idea maybe ;)
ReplyDeletei do explore my garden in spring , it keeps surprising me, i found a hen's egg beneath a small bush today, i do not have chickens, neither do our neighbours, mystery?!
x
That sounds like a fun thing to do as a child - great for the imagination! I explore my garden, too, but haven't found anything so surprising!
DeleteOh my gosh. Oh my gosh Sharmon! This art piece has me all astir. I love it so much. *hands clapping* here...and it is art I wish I could make. Isn't that the best compliment (it's true)~~I would like to make art like this. I wish I could stand by your side and watch you work. Happy spring and thank you for making me so excited about art (yours!!HA!) *smiles* Norma
ReplyDeleteNorma, what a sweet compliment - that is the best when someone wishes they could make it themselves! Thanks so much for stopping by!
DeleteSo many dreams of travels are envisioned on a collage and then come true! I hope your travel dreams do just that for you, dear Sharmon. Happy spring. xo
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the sweet wishes, Carole - maybe my travel dreams really will come true!
Deletebesides the perennial, naturally, i like the other meaning of rue and find a melancholic bias in your collage. mind travel is a good alternative to our wishes... i should know...
ReplyDeletei believe your chapters of travel start here ;))) n♥
Thanks so much for the good words....mind travel may be the only kind I get for a while! Thanks for visiting!
Delete;^))
ReplyDeletei travel in my mind

a travelling i like very much

x
Thanks for visiting, Patrice... yes, mind-travelling i can do, and I hope to do some physical traveling this summer!
DeleteNice collage. Oh, yes travelling...I mostly travel in my head / mind. And actually making art is also a kind of travelling:)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Eric. Yes, I agree that making art is a kind of mental travelling!
DeleteOk, I like that and hope that you show us more pictures and storys of your travel trips! Nice to meet you here.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you, too, Joke, and thanks for the kind words!
Deletetravel and collage - what an adorable combination! with what my students and i did last week, maybe I'll try more collage or an altered journal. thanks for the inspiration
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ebb, and I'm always happy to provide inspiration!
DeleteWhat a wonderful collage.. really does show your desire for travel and taking a break.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Donna!
DeleteLove your traveldreams - chapter by chapter.
ReplyDeleteLucia
Thank you, Lucia, for the kind words.
DeleteWonderful, I love planning trips far and wide... sometimes planning is as far as I go though, but still enjoy the trip! :-)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Marian; planning is often as far as I go, too!
DeleteLove the different 'faces' and the map and EXPLORE! Mind travel is the best kind!
ReplyDeleteMind travel, for me, is often the only kind! Thanks, Judy!
DeleteThat's a gorgeous one Sharmon! Makes me think of India. Gosh, it's been ages since I've been there. (like 30 years!) That was one of the most impression making journeys of my young life. Must really make it back there once again. I love to explore to the max. X
ReplyDeleteIndia sounds so exotic - I can't imagine travelling so far! Glad you like the collage, Veronica!
DeleteYour wonderful collage is matching what my heart is calling for these days; change, adventures, new places... I kind of feel that every spring, but this year it is a bit more strong and quite loud. We will see where the next months will bring us!
ReplyDeleteYes, change and exploration - the desire to do that is strong in the spring! Thanks for the kind words, Annton!
DeleteThe red guy with three eyes...wow does he add something to the piece. Fun artwork. I too am ready to do some traveling. Winter was a doozey this year!
ReplyDeleteJill, thanks for stopping by, and happy spring to you - sounds like you need it!
DeleteBeautiful artwork, it´s a bit dreamy and I hope your dreams come true!
